From October 5 to 9, 2026, Pyroalliance will join the global space community at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) in Antalya, Türkiye. Exhibiting on the ArianeGroup booth alongside other Group subsidiaries, Pyroalliance will showcase its proven pyrotechnic technologies and solutions for the Aerospace and New Space sectors — supporting customers in meeting the demanding challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s space missions.
The 77th edition of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) will take place in Antalya, Türkiye, from October 5 to 9, 2026, at the NEST Congress & Exhibition Center.
Organized by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF) under the theme “The World Needs More Space,” IAC 2026 will bring together industry leaders, space agencies, researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs and professionals from across the global space ecosystem.
For Pyroalliance, IAC is an opportunity to meet customers, partners and industry stakeholders, exchange perspectives on the latest developments and better understand the needs shaping the future of the sector.
The event will also provide an opportunity to present Pyroalliance’s portfolio of high-precision pyrotechnic solutions, developed to address critical functions across launch vehicle and space applications.
Pyroalliance will exhibit on the ArianeGroup booth, alongside other Group subsidiary Sodern.
This collective presence reflects the complementary expertise available across the Group and its ability to bring together a broad range of technologies and capabilities to address increasingly complex and multidisciplinary space projects.
For visitors, it will also provide an opportunity to discover how the different entities contribute to the development of solutions across the space value chain.
Visitors to the ArianeGroup booth will have the opportunity to meet François Degryse, Head of Strategy and Marketing, and Matthieu Chambert, Technical Director at Pyroalliance.

Throughout IAC, they will be available to present Pyroalliance’s technologies, share their expertise and discuss specific projects, applications and technical challenges.
Whether you are looking for a proven solution for a new launcher, exploring a new application or facing a specific technical challenge, our team will be pleased to discuss your requirements and explore how Pyroalliance can support your project.
Come and meet the Pyroalliance team at IAC and discover how our proven pyrotechnic technologies can support your ambitions and help secure the critical moments of your next mission.
THE WORLD NEEDS MORE SPACE.
The growing number of players entering the launcher market is creating new opportunities — but also increasing the pressure to bring competitive solutions to market quickly and reliably.
For emerging launcher manufacturers, every development decision matters. Time-to-market, risk management and cost efficiency are key factors in turning an innovative concept into a successful commercial launcher.
Based on its experience working with New Space players over recent years, Pyroalliance has identified a clear opportunity: using off-the-shelf, space-qualified and flight-proven pyrotechnic solutions can significantly accelerate launcher development while reducing technical and programmatic risks.
When the objective is to reach the market quickly, developing equipment from scratch can add significant time and complexity to a program.
Using already qualified and flight-proven technologies makes it possible to focus development efforts where innovation is most critical, while relying on mature solutions for functions that do not necessarily require a new technological approach.
For a new launcher, risk cannot be eliminated — but it can be managed and allocated strategically.
Integrating proven pyrotechnic equipment helps reduce uncertainties associated with the development of critical systems and allows engineering teams to concentrate their resources on the areas where technological innovation is essential, such as propulsion.
Off-the-shelf solutions can also contribute to greater cost efficiency by limiting non-recurring development activities and reducing the engineering effort required to qualify new equipment.
This approach combines proven performance, reliability and faster integration, helping launcher manufacturers optimize both their development roadmap and overall program risk.
Pyrotechnics offer unique advantages for demanding aerospace applications, including high energy density in a compact volume, exceptional long-term reliability and extremely fast actuation times, measured in milliseconds.

For decades, Pyroalliance has leveraged these capabilities to support several generations of European launchers, including Ariane and Vega, supplying series-produced pyrotechnic equipment for critical applications.
The latest generation of products is now qualified and flight proven. Building on this heritage, Pyroalliance has recently launched two dedicated product families:

These product families bring proven pyrotechnic technologies to a broader range of launcher manufacturers, providing access to mature solutions designed to support critical space missions.
Specialized in precision pyrotechnics for the Aerospace and New Space sectors, Pyroalliance develops and supplies solutions designed to meet the stringent requirements of space environments and mission-demanding applications.
At IAC, the focus will go beyond Pyroalliance’s existing product portfolio. The event will be also an opportunity to engage directly with the space community, understand emerging technical and market needs, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
Whether the challenge involves integrating a proven solution into a new launcher, adapting an existing technology to a specific application or developing a new solution to address an emerging need, Pyroalliance’s expertise is focused on delivering reliable technologies for critical missions.
