Growing steadily and continuously since 2021, Pyroalliance now has nearly 300 employees.
Pyroalliance contributes to numerous so-called ‘sovereignty’ programmes, including the iconic Ariane 6 launcher.
It made its debut in 2024 and achieved five consecutive successes in 18 months.
With its two-booster version (A62), ahead of the first flight of its four-booster version (A64), scheduled for the first quarter of 2026.
This enables it to place all institutional payloads into orbit: Galileo, Copernicus, military satellites, and more.
And without depending on American launchers!
Ariane 6 is the programme that guarantees Europe’s sovereign access to space.
The transmission of pyrotechnic orders using detonating lines designed to distribute the signal at a speed of nearly 8 km per second.
The ignition of the boosters and the retro-rockets that enable the boosters to move away, using TBIs (Through Bulkhead Initiators).
The separation of the boosters using new generation cutting cords.
The separation of the stages using detonating cords integrated into the “frangible joint” separation systems.
Finally, the launcher neutralisation function, to ensure safety in the event of an in-flight anomaly.
This final function is carried out using linear shaped charge holders equipped with a powerful cutting cord, sized to pierce the casing of the engines or tanks and make them explode…
After several years of increasing maturity, all these systems have now entered into serial production using an industrial facility designed for the targeted rate of at least nine launches per year.
Pyroalliance’s teams are ready to rise to the challenge and support the success of Ariane 6!
